Today we’re excited to reveal that Siguru AI has raised $2m (£1.7m) in new funding to accelerate our mission: revolutionising MLR approval so it takes days not months.
This round of investment brings together 32 investors, among them technology founders who have built companies to billion-pound exits, medical directors from across the pharmaceutical industry, and commercial leaders with decades of experience in life sciences.
It marks a significant step for the Siguru AI team, and it’s a vote of confidence in a problem that the industry has faced for too long.
The speed of MLR approval must change
Over the past fifteen years the pharmaceutical industry has transformed almost every part of how it operates. But the way it reviews content has remained mostly the same as it did a decade ago.
A single piece of promotional material can take 40 days to move from draft to approval, and a significant share of that time is reworking issues that could have been flagged earlier. Highly skilled reviewers spend hours on repetitive checks, while marketing teams wait weeks for answers.
Siguru AI was founded to close that gap. Our platform analyses content in seconds, checking every Code factor from the foundational requirements through to individual claims, and shows teams what needs to be fixed before material reaches a reviewer.
The result: medical teams receive cleaner drafts and complete their checks faster. Our mission is to cut MLR cycles from 40 days to seven, while ensuring that all content is accurate and adheres to the Code. This additional funding round will ensure that we can achieve that mission.
The experts growing Siguru AI
Rather than a single backer, we assembled a group of 32 investors who understand the MLR problem from every perspective. This includes medical directors responsible for approving pharma content and commercial directors responsible for getting those medicines to the people who need them.
These new backers will sit alongside Siguru AI’s experienced advisory board: eight senior figures drawn from Code compliance, medical affairs and commercial pharma, who have shaped the platform since its earliest versions and continue to hold it to the highest standard.
“We set out to find investors who understood why the Code matters rather than people who saw pharma simply as a market to invest capital into,” explains Harry Bliss, Co-Founder and CEO of Siguru AI.
Dan Bentley, Co-Founder of Siguru AI, adds: “In a regulated industry, trust is earned slowly and lost quickly. Everything we have done so far, from achieving ISO 27001 certification to grounding the platform in emc’s approved SPC data, has been about building that trust.
“This round allows us to continue building in that way, with more capacity on the product and more experience around the table. It is a significant milestone for Siguru AI.”
Looking ahead
The investment will be directed towards two priorities. The first is the platform: the company has a clear product roadmap and this funding enables that development to proceed at the pace the industry needs, while ensuring the highest standards across privacy and security.
The second is the team. Over the past year we have brought in professionals who have spent their careers within pharmaceutical medical and marketing functions, and that expertise has shaped what we build and how. Further hiring across product, development and medical will boost that approach.
What changes is the pace. With the backing of this group of 32 experts, the guidance of our advisory board and a growing team, Siguru AI is well positioned to resolve a problem that the industry has faced for decades.
